Mark Cuban told Elon Musk that Twitter was “his business” after the two exchanged views.
Cuban had proposed removing the verification fee for the most accurate Community Notes contributors.

Elon Musk bluntly dismissed Mark Cuban’s suggestions for a free verification program for some users on the social media platform.
Cuban, a billionaire entrepreneur, quote tweeted Musk’s post to Jack Dorsey about Twitter accounts using Community Notes, formerly known as Birdwatch, a feature that allows users to identify and flag misleading information.
“You might consider proactively offering your $8 review program for free to those you deem the most accurate Notes contributors. It will not be easy to confirm accuracy. But if the AI can try to compensate for bias, maybe it can model the accuracy?” Cuban wrote in the tweet.
Musk replied Cuban, saying: “$8 for everyone.”
“Your business. Your decision,” Cuban wrote in a quote tweet to Musk.
It comes after Cuban celebrated the billionaire’s takeover of Twitter. tweet that he is “excited” for the Elon Musk era and describes him as a “ready, fiery, purposeful entrepreneur.”
Since Musk took over Twitter on Oct. 28, he plans to launch an $8-a-month subscription service that will give users a blue tick, the ability to post longer videos, less ads, and priority on posts.
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has repeatedly doubled down on plans to charge users $8 to stay verified on Twitter.
Some celebrities, including Lynda Carter and Josh Gad, lawmakers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and major media organizations have criticized the proposed $8 monthly fee for a blue tick, indicating a user is who they say they are .
