Mark Messier publicly criticized a Rangers player on Saturday.
During the first break of the game against the Capitals, the living legend of the Blueshirts was in the corner of the ice complaining about Jonny Brodzinski's decision to turn his back on the game, which led to a hard check from behind by Tom Wilson (Who else! ).
According to Messier, Brodzinski put himself in a vulnerable position so Wilson should not have been punished for sharing the tape.
“In the time I played there wasn't even a penalty. I would never have been able to play for 26 years if I had put myself in such a vulnerable position. My career would have preferred to have lasted five years. I'm so tired of seeing players put themselves in vulnerable situations. It drives me crazy,” he said on ESPN, where he is an analyst alongside PK Subban.
