Mark Thiessen: China is helping Putin by shutting down TikTok streams from Russia

Fox News contributor Mark Thiessen told America’s Newsroom on Monday that China is helping Russian President Vladimir Putin by shutting down live TikTok broadcasts from the country.

MARK THYSSEN: Let’s remember that TikTok is a Chinese company, so any decisions they make are made in Beijing. And Beijing is an ally of Vladimir Putin. But. yes, you are absolutely right. Social media companies have obligations. It’s amazing how resourceful Ukrainians are.

As soon as they started shutting down some social media sites, they started posting news about restaurant reviews of Moscow restaurants to get the message across to Russians. The Anonymous hacker collective hacked into Russian state television and began broadcasting on state television footage of Russia’s defeats and the corpses of Russian soldiers in Ukraine. The cyberwarfare that’s going on here below the surface goes both ways. In the age of cell phones, it’s much harder to hide the news from people.

This is a Chinese company. They help Putin by shutting down TikTok. Western social networks should flood the zone with information.
