Married at First Sight: A British couple announce they are actually getting married after meeting on the reality series

A Married At First Sight UK couple have revealed they are actually getting married after meeting on the reality series.

Adam Aveling tied the knot with Tayah Victoria for the first time in 2021. Their pairing was so successful that they are now engaged and have a daughter together.

The electrician and the real estate agent have gone from strength to strength since working with the experts and are now planning another big day.

While the wedding in the program is convincing, participants take part in an engagement ceremony rather than a legally binding wedding.

In conversation with OK! Speaking to the magazine about their plans, Adam said: “I’m really looking forward to it, it’s going to be a magical day, a Christmas wedding and everyone will be dressed in black tie.”

Tayah added: “This wedding will be much more special, we could only have six people at our MAFS wedding so I’m looking forward to having all of our friends and family in the same room to celebrate such a magical day and him actually create it legally.

“Although we wanted to get married in the same place as before, we thought you could never predict the weather in the UK.”

The couple added that they have “rarely spent a day apart” since their time on Married At First Sight and can’t wait to say so.

A MAFS UK spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: “Under the Australian format, couples will form a lifelong commitment to one another in a glamorous ceremony, rather than entering into legal marriages.”

“This will be overseen by a wedding celebrant and will include guests, wedding dresses, dancing, speeches and cake.”

Tayah announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post back in April 2022.

Shocked, she told the world: “The news is finally out and I still can’t quite believe I’m writing this, but we’re having a baby.”

Their daughter Beau Emily was born on October 7, 2022 and the couple was congratulated by adoring fans across the country.

Adam and Tayah committed to each other, albeit not legally, on Married At First Sight in 2021 and even got down on one knee.

During their time on the show, he wanted to profess his “undying” love, despite warnings from the other couples on the show that they were moving too quickly.

Back when she asked Tayah to be his wife, she shouted, “Are you serious?” before saying, “You know I will.”

An emotional Adam said: “You’re making me cry now.”
