Thomas’ revelation comes after he recently came out as pansexual. He claimed he previously came out during filming for the show, but it never aired.
He took to his Instagram two weeks ago to share a happy video of him dancing to Beyonce’s Cuff It.
Captioning the clip, he wrote that he came out as pansexual — someone who is attracted to everyone, regardless of gender or gender identity.
Congratulations! Married at First Sight British star Thomas Hartley has come out as pansexual
Thomas said: “Coming out. I came out as gay when I was 15, but prior to the show I realized that I was attracted to all genders and had become more fluid with my gender and liberated in my sexuality. I now understand that I am pansexual.
“Although I’m more interested in dating cis and trans men, I also find cis and trans women attractive.
“I am at the beginning of this journey and I am more confident than ever.
“Pansexuality is not difficult to understand, but rather than being offended I would rather help people understand it and learn with resources and education.

Identity: He wrote that he came out as pansexual — someone who is attracted to everyone, regardless of gender or gender identity
“Thank you for supporting me during MAFS and after, you have helped give me the confidence to live in my truth.”
He added, “Also, I came out at home during my ex-husband’s stay, but obviously they have to condense the hours of filming into one hour.”
Attaching photos of definitions of pansexual, he said, “Someone who can love a person for who they are, not for what they are.”
Another said: “I’m pansexual. I’m attracted to people regardless of gender (yes, there are more than 2 genders). No, I’m not attracted to pans. No, that’s not the same as bi.’

Thomas’ coming out came out the day before Married At First Sight UK’s Christmas Gathering aired on Monday night.
Discussing the special episode, Thomas teased that it would be “explosive” and revealed that he and another cast member blocked each other.
He tweeted: “I’ll watch the reunion tonight. It’s going to be a bit explosive and I’m sure many will have a lot to say afterward. The clip where it says “blocked me on everything”, it was mutual, I was tired of arguing.
“We don’t talk, we won’t talk and I’m happier than ever…”
He added: “All is not what it seems, not everyone is what they appear and everyone moves on with their lives and I wish them the best.”
