“Married At First Sight” star Amanda Micallef was slammed by the non-binary drag queen for saying men shouldn’t be allowed in women’s restrooms and using the wrong pronouns
Amanda Micallef made history on Married At First Sight when she became the first-ever lesbian bride to star in the popular series in 2020.
However, the 37-year-old personal trainer has now incited some sections of the LGBTQIA+ community after voicing her unease at seeing biological males who identify as non-binary sitting in women’s restrooms.
Micallef expressed her views in an Instagram post last year, but the post has now resurfaced after non-binary drag queen Pablo, who uses the pronouns “they/them,” took to social media to share a scathing video about it.
In her original post, Micallef shared a photo of a female/nonbinary bathroom door and wrote, “What do we think of a man who considers himself nonbinary entering a female bathroom?” I think that’s a bad move for the business.”
She added, “I mean, is that how I understand this sign?” “Might as well introduce gender-neutral toilets and really put people off in a kid-friendly company.”

This week, Pablo attacked Micallef for her opinion, criticizing her for using masculine pronouns with a non-binary person and calling her a “class F reality star.”
Pablo also said that the MAFS bride was spreading “right-wing rhetoric” by not wanting biological men in women’s restrooms and that she was “just an ally for women who aren’t transgender.”
“When you call someone non-binary HIM. . . “It obviously shows that Amanda has no real understanding of non-binary experience, non-binary identity, and the use of neuter pronouns to refer to such a person,” Pablo lamented.
“Well the whole thing is a bad move for business and the kid-friendly thing leads to the assumption that Amanda believes that when male non-binary people go to the bathroom non-binary it is.” a threat to kids, it’s a threat to women, whatever,” the performer continued.
“This is based on absolutely no reality and no evidence whatsoever, as currently a trans or non-binary person in a ‘female’ restroom can legally use this facility under anti-discrimination law.”

Pablo further criticized Amanda for having the “boldness” to challenge gender-neutral spaces.
“There seems to be an odd correlation between being a Class F reality TV star and somehow thinking you have the right — leave the audacity behind — to question things like gender-neutral toilets and at the same time to spread rhetoric that is so damaging, “It’s so hurtful and so blatantly far-right, there’s absolutely no evidence for it and I think that’s okay,” they said.
Pablo later said they received a legal letter from Amanda asking them to remove her video.
