Married At First Sight star Josh White has his sights set on becoming the next Bachelor.

However, instead of appearing in the regular series, White is keen to star in the new US spin-off The Golden Bachelor, which is aimed at a much more mature age group.

Josh, 41, failed to find love in recent series Married At First Sight after dating Melissa Sheppard.

But although he said he felt “emasculated” on TV by his on-screen wife, who described herself as a “freak in the sheets,” he would like to give reality TV another chance give.

On Friday, the father of two answered some fan questions in his Instagram story.

One asked if he would consider doing reality TV again.

Sharing a promotional image for The Golden Bachelor, which airs later this month, Josh wrote: “I think. Note: I’ll be watching.’

Last month, the single won the Logie Awards for playing an “emasculating” clip of him from the hit reality show.

He expressed his disgust on 2DAY FM’s popular show ‘Hughesy, Ed & Erin’ after expressing his confusion over the choice of content in an Instagram post.

The clip in question was the controversial moment in which his on-screen wife Melissa questioned his masculinity.

“It was pretty rude to highlight a particular clip of mine in the first nomination for the award,” he explained on his Instagram Story.

“If the heart of the show is love, wouldn’t it be a more fitting choice to show the two couples who made it to the end?”

The MAFS groom confessed to radio hosts that seeing the scene replayed on TV was a hard pill to swallow, especially given the show’s mission to help people find true love.

“As I was putting the kids to bed I missed the part and got a text from Rupert [Bugden] that they showed a clip of me,” he said.

“It was pretty shocking. “The essence of the show is discovering love for a stranger,” he said.

“There were two lovely couples who survived the whole time. So why not applaud them instead of showing an incredibly demeaning scene?”

Josh doubted that it was necessary for him or Mellissa to be reminded of this hard time, which was a hard time for both of them.

“It was strange to hear how the live audience reacted to the footage,” he said at the time.
