Married bride Alyssa Barmonde has slammed ex-Duncan James for refusing to publicly defend her from trolls after their bitter breakup
Married at first sight bride Alyssa Barmonde took a shocking dig at her TV ex-husband Duncan James last week.
The mother-of-one, 35, said on the Back To Reality podcast she wasn’t impressed when Duncan, 36, didn’t come to her defense after she was labeled a “bad guy”.
“He never publicly advocated for me. “I received harassment, death threats, horrible news, people found my cell phone number,” she began.
“I had to close my business because it was trolled.”
She then said she blamed Duncan for refusing to publicly confront the trolls and demand that they stop bullying them.

“All he had to do was say, ‘Stop bullying Alyssa, she doesn’t deserve it.'” But he didn’t because it would damage his image,” she added.
Alyssa was portrayed negatively in the second half of the season. The edited scenes focused on her emotional outbursts, her husband’s abuse, and the constant use of “I have a child” as an excuse for her bad behavior.
However, the ex-Mormon insists this portrayal was one-sided and unfair, arguing that many of her arguments with Duncan, from whom she split at Final Vows, lacked proper on-screen context.

In March, viewers were shocked after Alyssa was brutally dumped by Duncan at their latest engagement ceremony last week.
She told Duncan at the ceremony that she “wanted to fight for their relationship” – and was surprised when he said the feeling wasn’t mutual.
“I know what love and a great relationship are, and we both deserve that.” But our views on what constitutes a healthy relationship seem to differ,” he told her.
