Jones made 26 saves in the win. He’s conceded just four goals in his last three games for a .949 save rate. Each time, his club savored the win.

The Leafs have never been four goals down this season.

Eeli Tolvanen, Vince Dunn, Jared McCann, Matt Beniers and Alex Wennberg all engineered the win. All forwards got at least one point except for Morgan Geekie, Daniel Sprong and Oliver Bjorkstrand.

Matt Murray had a tough game, allowing five goals on 26 shots. He had only the support of John Tavares, author of his 16th web campaign.

A narrow win for the Blues

Despite clearly dominating shots on goal, the New Jersey Devils were beaten 5 to 3 by the Blues of St. Louis.

Rookie Akira Schmid was beaten four times with 18 shots, while veteran Jordan Binnington was batted with 38 against a barrage of 38 shots.

Jordan Kyrou, Ivan Barbashev, Brandon Saad and Robert Thomas all flashed the red light twice for the visitors, while Jack Hughes scored a brace in a losing affair. Nico Hischier also scored.

In summary
