The Epic Games Store offers the PC version of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. It's not the adjustment of the century, but there is reason to have a good time this do-nothing month of January.
Since its founding a few years ago, the Epic Games Store has regularly offered video games. And no small productions. You can pick up Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy for free until January 11, 2024, 5 p.m. To add it to your collection, simply need an account and go to this address and click the “Get” button. The game normally sells for €59.99.
Developed by Eidos-Montreal and published by Square Enix, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy puts you in the shoes of Star-Lord, leader of the force known for its mischief. This adaptation is not the best possible, but it will perhaps allow you to have a good (first) weekend in January, between two moments digesting the Galette des Rois. In any case, the game has arguments that can convince you.

Even though it's not a reproduction of the James Gunn-directed film trilogy, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy still adopts its uninhibited tone. That's its greatest strength: it's based on a narrative full of jokes and crazy situations designed to make us want to follow Star-Lord and his gang to the ends of the galaxy. That's why we laugh a lot at this video game that, despite its awkward gameplay, is very endearing. As a bonus, there are great references to the world of pop culture.
Paradoxically, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy lacks action, as there are recurring fights that can get annoying after a while (especially because there are so many of them). Sometimes you have to show a little forbearance and wait for the next moment when the pointless discussions will resume. In short, you have to dig.
On the Epic Games Stores, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has a rating of 4.7 out of 5. Players highlight the boss fights, the cast, the story, the “extremely entertaining” aspect, the accessibility and the quick-to-learn gameplay.
Note that you can spend an entire weekend in the colors of Guardians of the Galaxy, as the third film will be broadcast on Canal+. Something to laugh about in the company of people who could be our friends.
