Ossini made his live debut with these words: “In this year 2023, many difficulties await us, such as price increases, the increase in infections from Covid, the risk of recession and more”, and again: “In short, there will be none very easy year though the desire for rest is there, like a cautious optimism”.
The moderator then went into the problems of today’s society and then asked a question: “Sale, is consumption starting again?”. Starting from this question, the episode took shape thanks to the intervention of experts and guests.
But something that happened in the preview of the show upset everyone, a long and painful goodbye to an incredible character.
The sad greeting of Massimiliano Ossini
One morning, Monday January 9, before proceeding to air the episode of the program during preview, The moderator wanted to commemorate a great Italian footballer who died on January 6 this year: Gianluca Vialli.
After a long illness, the man left his wife and two daughters as his health deteriorated. A defeat that moved the whole world, which remembers him above all for his exploits as a footballer and most recently those he experienced with Roberto Mancini at the 2020 European Championship.
“It’s saddened by the goodbyes that marked the end of last year,” he commented Massimiliano Ossini also began by referring to the death of Pope Emeritus Ratzinger, which took place on December 31st. Furthermore, the conductor added: “We have seen solemn funerals and private ceremonies and today there will be a final farewell to Gianluca Vialli.”
Ossini explained how, after becoming aware of the uncertainty of his life, Vialli expressed a wish: “I don’t want a gray farewell, I want a happy funeral” the ex-footballer would have said.
