Before leaving the kitchen, Ananda spoke about the difficulties of the profession and how hard it is to be a woman in the hospitality industry amidst the machismo. The powerful speeches of someone who changed her life because of the program made Ana Paula Padrão cry.
At the end of the recordings, in an interview with band.com.br, the participant remained calm as in the kitchen, always calm and thoughtful. “I wanted to show different dishes, I still had a lot of ideas saved, a lot of techniques that I couldn’t use, but I think I showed what I wanted anyway,” he analyses.
The highlight of the whole career, in her opinion, was the conquered relationships. When he joined the game, his goal was to meet people from the business and “burst the bubble.” Today, in addition to friendships, she has the affection of chefs she has already admired, like Helena.
Getting a compliment from her is too much. Out of all, he is the one I identify with the most in terms of work. The kitchen I like is what it does and having that reciprocity is really cool.
From heaven to hell
At the beginning of the episode, Ananda was named as the favorite for the MasterChef finals by her peers. The tables turned at the end of the show, and she admits the responsibility of taking notes made her nervous. “It’s scary because if there were pros and cons, I would be the center of attention at that moment, so it made me happy but also worried.”
In addition to competitions at a very high level, the professional had to cook with friends, and everything was even more complicated due to the closeness between them. Whatever the outcome, a sad farewell was in store. “We didn’t want to compete together. Apart from the fact that Diego and Thalyta have a lot of experience, they are lovely people.”
It is even for the friend that the competitor cheers. The two had a “soul” date at MasterChef. “Unfortunately we won’t have a female final, that was our dream, but then let it be a final with a strong woman like you,” he says happily.
MasterChef Therapy?
When saying goodbye to Ana Paula Padrão, the candidate assured that the program was “intensive care” for her. In addition to friendships and relationships that seemed impossible in everyday life, the chef gained selfesteem and began to see herself through different eyes.
“It was really nice, it’s a jolt and a shock of reality to hear that someone is actually counting on me, from such competent and lovely people. It makes me think, “Gee Ananda, you’re good,” you know? “Stop underestimating yourself like that.”
Upon entering the program, she admitted that she was on the verge of giving up the profession. However, the experience changed everything. “I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do from now on, but giving up is not in the plans. I will definitely do something in gastronomy,” he says happily. “I come out a completely different person.” And we loved it. Much luck!
What happened in the 7th episode of MasterChef Professionals
end of the curse
It’s a MasterChef tradition: a candy test pops up almost every season to scare contestants who have to balance candies on a tower. This time the professionals had to prove their manual skills when preparing macarons. The French recipe created work for the chefs and chaos ensued in the kitchen. Wilson was the only one who managed to deliver a complete tower and win the race.
tasty and fast
In honor of Pasta Day, which is celebrated this Tuesday (25th), Ananda, Diego and Thalyta had to face a pressure test with dough. The challenge was to prepare a dish with sauce in just 20 minutes. Diego took the best, hitting the ‘perfect’ spot of the recipe and securing an advantage in the final race by having 10 minutes more for the challenge.
distinguished visit
At the elimination, the chefs received a special message from Spain’s Joan Roca, twice voted ‘Best Chef in the World’. Thalyta won the challenge and said goodbye to Ananda, who was eliminated.
