Emelia Jackson was ready to win viewers’ hearts again in the first season of “Dessert Masters” this year, but it wasn’t to be.
Despite agreeing to join the all-star contestant roster, the 34-year-old fan-favorite MasterChef star had to pull out at the last minute due to scheduling issues.
In a very sweet twist, Emelia revealed that she was unable to appear on the first season of the show because she was expecting a baby, Yahoo Lifestyle reported on Tuesday.
“I was asked to be a part of it and I said yes and everything was going well until I was told that filming would start on my due date for my second film.” [child],’ She said.
Emelia went on to reveal that she knew little about the new Channel 10 series when she signed up for it.

She said: “They didn’t really explain the concept, they just said, ‘Do you want to do this?’ It’s a dessert just right for you,” and I said, “Yes, of course, sign me up.” .
“And then when I saw who was there I thought, ‘Thank God I didn’t do that, I would have been smashed to a pulp!’

In a first cast photo in June, several MasterChef stars were seen in the cast, including Reynold Poernomo, Jess Lemon and Anna Polyviou.
Also in the cast this year are Morgan Hipworth, Andrew Bowden, Kay-Lene Tan and dessert king Adriano Zumbo
The series is hosted by Melissa Leong and international chef Amaury Guichon. The winner will receive $100.00 in prize money.

“It doesn’t get any better, more sophisticated or more magical than these chefs, who each bring their own unique interpretation of sweet creations to their own worlds.”
Co-host Amaury Guichon was equally impressed with the quality of the new season’s contestants.
“I’m so excited to be in Australia, experiencing the unique pastry scene and being part of Dessert Masters,” he said.
