MasterChef Australia star Melissa Leong has broken her silence as she claims she “argued” with staff on the set of the Channel 10 cookery show.
The 40-year-old recently revealed she’s been taking some time off to reflect on her year while sharing a cryptic quote about finding grace and optimism.
Melissa uploaded a photo of her new talisman tattoo to Instagram over the weekend and wrote, “A talisman for the year to come.”

“This year has shown me the best and the worst human behavior, both in the world at large and in my own life.
“May we always find the grace and strength to meet people as they are and never lose our capacity for optimism, hope and kindness.”
Melissa went on to encourage her followers to question motives, go with your gut, but never dim your lights.

Leong continued, “Realize that there is power to cut off your energy from people who don’t deserve it. They’re always watching though, so give them a goddamn good show.
“And if all else fails, wear an evil eye or two… Karma will even the scales without your help, and some people are just idiots.”
It comes after it was revealed the crew of the hit cooking show were reminded of a confidentiality clause in their contracts after judge Melissa Leong had a “quarrel” with some of the staff.

Endemol Shine, MasterChef’s production company, has warned the cast and crew about breaking the rules.
The company reportedly told employees that if they violated the confidentiality clause or spoke to the media about behind-the-scenes secrets, their contracts would be terminated.

It follows reports that Melissa has reportedly “argued” with members of the Network 10 show’s production crew.
The fan-favorite food critic is now “doing her own hair and makeup” amid tensions with Endemol Shine’s beauty crew, the Daily Telegraph reported on Saturday.
Sources told the newspaper that the production staff and Melissa “don’t want to work together anymore,” but Ten hasn’t addressed the issues for fear of upsetting them.
Insiders at Ten say the situation worsened after a freelancer was hired to do Melissa’s hair before being later asked not to work with her.

The Sydney-born food writer has become a fan favorite since joining the show in 2020.
Despite rumors of a falling out with staff, Melissa appears to be friends with her fellow judges and attended the AACTA Awards this week with Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo.
The trio had plenty to celebrate during the ceremony, as MasterChef was presented with the trophy for Best Reality Program.
