Matt Riddle written off TV after attack on WWE RAW

Matt Riddle and Elias were scheduled to face off against The Usos to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at last night’s Monday Night RAW. However, before the show could begin, The Bloodline attacked Elias and knocked him out of the match. Then Riddle was able to find a last-minute partner in Kevin Owens.

After an uphill battle, the Usos retained their tag team titles by pinning Riddle. But the night got even worse for Riddle when The Bloodline attacked him after the match. Kevin Owens came to his aid, chasing The Usos and Sami Zayn away.

Solo Sikoa stayed in the ring and destroyed Zayn with a Samoan spike and a hip attack in the corner. Then he grabbed a steel chair from outside and put it around Riddle’s neck. Sikoa then delivered another vicious hip attack on Riddle. After the attack, Matt Riddle had to be carried out of the arena in an ambulance.

This left many fans wondering if Matt Riddle sustained a legitimate injury or if he is being written off television for now. During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said he’s not sure what’s happening either. The only thing he’s sure of is that Riddle won’t be appearing on WWE television for the time being.

“It looks like Riddle is outside. I don’t know if it’s a legitimate violation and they’re writing it off. He wrestled a match, so it doesn’t have to be that bad. […] I don’t know what’s happening, but Riddle seems to be gone for now.”

The attack Matt Riddle suffered looks vicious. Whether he’s injured or written off TV for now, we hope to see him back in the ring. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we keep you updated on this story.
