Quebec’s Matthew Bergeron signed his first NFL contract with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday.
The second-round pick in the last draft was the only player in this class who had not yet reached an agreement with the Georgian organization. The four-year contract is valued at $8.97 million.

The Victoriaville native was drafted 38th overall after impressing at Syracuse University. The offensive lineman is now expected to play as a guard, a position he has never held before, the team said in a statement. He might even get the starting job on the left.
