Matthew Perry is honored at the opening of Central Perk Coffee Shop in Boston

A modern version of coffee Friends, Central Perk, will open its doors in Boston on November 14th. Matthew Perry will be honored on opening day.

Located on Boston’s popular Newbury Street Boulevard, the cafe is full of references to the popular NBC show that aired from 1994 to 2004. “It’s not a line, it’s more of a look at what the cafe would look like today,” Glen & Co Architecture founder and lead designer Glen Coben told People.

On November 14, Café Central Perk plans to exclusively distribute coffee sleeves with Chandler Bing’s iconic phrase: “May I interest you in a sarcastic comment?” (“May I give you a sarcastic comment?”, in French), in honor of the Life of actor Matthew Perry.

The beloved characters from the TV series Friends – Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Rachel and Joey – spent countless hours in the fictional Central Perk Coffee Shop.

The opening of Central Perk, a collaboration with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and CenPer, was handed over following the death of the 54-year-old actor.

On October 28, Matthew Perry was found lifeless in the hot tub of his Los Angeles home.
