“We are heartbroken over the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew has brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and as a friend. “You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love,” a family member said in statements reproduced by American website TMZ, which first reported the death.
The actor’s parents, Suzanne Morrison and John Bennett, as well as his stepfather Keith Morrison were there.
According to the website, Matthew Perry, “Friends” Chandler, has died at the age of 54
There were no drugs or signs of crime at the scene. The rescue team considers the possibility of drowning. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
“We responded to a death investigation of a man in his 50s at 4:10 p.m.,” a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told AFP, without confirming the name of the deceased.
The last photo the actor posted on Instagram was from five days ago. The picture shows him in a swimming pool.
