Matthew Pepper found himself in the company of the host this week Melanie Maynard on the set of Sucre Salé.
During his appearance on the summer show, the comedian addressed several aspects of his life, including a surprising fact about his family.
In fact, Matthieu reported that he was initially unwanted by his parents. In short, a surprise, even an accident.
“You are the youngest of a fairly large family, five children! The rest of us, eight,” Mélanie tells him.
“Is it true? (…) Are you the youngest?” Matthieu then asks curiously.
“Yes. Unwanted baby (points to himself), unwanted baby (points to Matthieu),” she adds.
“Yes. Oh, that, huh!” replies the comedian.
“Does it hurt?” The moderator then wants to know.
“Well, for a long time anyway,” reveals the comedian frankly.
“You were also an accident?” adds Mélanie Maynard.
“Yes 100% (…) Yes yes, my mother asked herself: does it hurt so much that it hurts to fall down the stairs?” Matthieu Pepper then begins with humor.
“My God, that’s really hard!” Replies Maynard, laughing.
“I think it was too far (…) No, no. “I wasn’t wanted, it was an interrogation,” Pepper specifies with more seriousness this time.
The presenter then asked how he knew and how he took it, as she says psychologically “a child is not told” that it was an accident or an unwanted child.
“They told me! (…) They really told me. Young, we were joking: he’s unwanted, but we’re very lucky to have him. I remembered the ending more when he was unwanted , and then later came the joy of having him. Seriously, it was really a joke. We used to joke about it, but it’s true that it’s… First you say: I don’t care, I don’t care . But eventually you sit down with a psychologist and after 45 minutes you say: Ah! That was really it, everyone, that’s what happens,” concludes Matthieu.
We can understand that despite the humor, Matthieu was still upset about that past confidence.
There is no doubt that his family is proud of him today.
