Mori’s daytime talk show comes to an end after over 30 seasons after it was canceled by NBCUniversal.
The syndicated show, which 83-year-old Maury Povich began hosting in 1991, is due to wrap up with original episodes that will air this fall, Broadcasting + Cable announced Saturday.
New episodes of the talk show known for its paternity revelations will remain on the air until September.

According to the publication, reruns of the show will air in syndication similar to The Jerry Springer Show. The original episodes of The Springer Show ended in 2018 and have continued to air in seasons ever since.
Maury’s latest renewal came in 2020, extending the show through the 2021-2022 television season, People reports, citing an NBCUniversal press release.
Maury first began airing as The Maury Povich Show in 1991 when it was produced by Paramount Domestic Television, according to Deadline.
The show’s name was later shortened to Maury in 1998 when Studio USA (later bought by NBCUniversal) began producing the show.

Povich and his wife, celebrity TV presenter Connie Chang, 75, were photographed in Texas in 2019.
Povich is known for his revelations of paternity, in which he said, “You’re not the father!”
According to TV Line, the popular series reached its 3000th episode in May 2016.
Povich spoke to the Chicago Tribune in 2012 about the show’s enduring popularity.
“They touch on so many classic themes, be it love, mistrust, conflict, drama,” said Povich, who was first a radio reporter from Washington, D.C. and then host of the television tabloid A Current Affair from 1986 to 1990. – And, in particular, paternity shows that he-said, she-said, he-father, not-he. While soap operas play these themes for six months, we play them for 12 minutes.”
In an interview, he said, “I want to be on the show as long as it’s going well and I feel good doing it. But I don’t want to do it when I’m that old. [the late] Regis [Philbin]. I won’t last that long.”
Queer Eye star Karamo Brown, who was a former guest host on Maury, is due to host a talk show of the same name produced by NBCUniversal and airing on The CW affiliates and other stations starting this fall, with Maury executive producer Paul Faulhaber serving in the same capacity. Brown, according to Broadcasting + Cable.
Other shows that have been canceled in recent months include Judge Jerry (after three seasons); The Nick Cannon Show and The Good Dish one season each; and The Wendy Williams Show after 12 seasons. Sherri Shepherd, who guest hosted during Williams’ absence, is scheduled to host the show during the fall television season.
