The funeral of comedian Michel Côté took place on Wednesday.
“We were about a hundred people, really close friends, close family,” Maxime Le Flaguais said at a press conference the next day (photo at the bottom of the article), ahead of the opening of the Ardent Chapel, to which the public was invited to come and to say goodbye one last time to the actor so loved by Quebecers.
Michel Côté’s son mentions that there was no talk of a state funeral for his father. “As I jokingly said to my brother, dad would have wanted the money to go to education and health rather than his funeral.”
When the family’s National Theater School offered to host a Chapelle Ardente within its walls, they jumped at the chance. We invite you to discover here images of the Monument-National room, decorated with flowers for the occasion.
Journalists also asked Maxime Le Flaguais how his mother, Véronique Le Flaguais, was doing under the circumstances.
“She’s fine. She’s really strong. It’s extraordinary how strong this woman is. She’s also an independent woman, I’m not too worried about her. I also love playing Scrabble and doing crosswords , so she has a new partner. »
The family spokesman also touched on his father’s final moments in the hospital. See what he said here.
