Maya Jama arrives at the British Fashion Awards ahead of the annual awards ceremony in an edgy corset dress with thigh-high stockings

Maya Jama grabbed attention as she walked the red carpet at the 2023 British Fashion Awards on Monday night.

The 29-year-old presenter, who will co-host the prestigious event alongside music artist Kojey Radical, wore a whimsical white corset-style dress to the annual ceremony.

She paired the eye-catching dress with sheer, thigh-high stockings and stiletto heels.

Maya posed for snaps as the voluminous train of her dress spread out behind her on the red carpet.

To complete her dramatic look, she tied her hair back in a sleek, low bun and opted for bold lipstick.

To give fans a sneak peek of rehearsals earlier in the day, Maya shared a clip on Instagram of her walk to the venue before arriving backstage and ready for rehearsal.

Before the glamour, the radio DJ looked cozy in a black zip-up hoodie, coat and tracksuit bottoms.

The star swept her dark locks back into a ponytail while she donned black rectangular sunglasses and a black baseball cap decorated with a white outline of a love heart.

Maya kept a straight face as she posed for a cheeky mirror selfie and shared a snap of her notes for the evening.

The star also told her followers that she had stayed over at her boyfriend Stormzy’s house the night before and had nothing to wear to the rehearsal.

She wrote: “I stayed with the boys and forgot to bring an outfit suitable for rehearsal, so the handler shoes had to go.”

Celebrities including Beyoncé, Kate Moss, Poppy Delevingne, Lily James, Jourdan Dunn and Rina Sawayama were expected to walk the red carpet at the 2023 British Fashion Awards.

The event, presented by jewelry brand Pandora, returned to London’s iconic venue, the Royal Albert Hall, on Monday evening.
