On Friday (23rd) MC Daniel had to leave a show he had done at the “Se Evolve Festival” in São Bernardo do Campo (SP). On stage, the singer stated that he had received death threats from the organizer of the event. Some fans present captured the moment, and the video, in which the musician also apologized to the public, went viral on social networks.
“So you’re saying they’re going to kill me and my team (sic) and you want me to stay soft here? how do i stay here I come here to sing and the contractor says he’s going to shoot me,” Mel Maia’s friend said while looking at the production crew who were obviously trying to calm him down. He was then applauded by the audience, who shouted “Falcão”, as he is also known. After the fans’ support, the artist even tried to sing one more song, but the show had to be interrupted.

“Family, I’m not leaving because I want to, I’m leaving because my life is in danger. He’s out there saying he’s going to shoot me and my security guard. I don’t know what’s going on, we won’t stay here you know?” MC Daniel explained to the fans before leaving the stage.
Then the funk singer recorded a video in which he again justified himself. “In terms of the show that was supposed to be here, those who were there know what happened. Regardless of any stop, the most important thing is my life, you know? I will always prioritize my life, the life of my team, my partners. And that’s it. It was not my fault. Sometimes you have to understand some stops. It’s ‘us,'” he said in Stories.

The organization of the festival issued a statement on Saturday (23) via social networks. In a note published on Instagram, the event’s representatives clarified that the threats did not come from the contractors, but from the owner of Crazy Bar, the concert hall where MC Daniel’s presentation took place. “We rented the house ‘Crazy Bar’ for our festival and yesterday was the owner’s birthday who asked us to stay in the box next to the stage and ended up doing this pose that everyone saw in videos,” they wrote.
“We at Se Envolve Festival are the actual contractors and we even gave artist MC Daniel a reason when he left the stage […] We also understand the artist’s confusion when pronouncing the word “contractor” as he saw that the situation was up to the owner of the facility… The artist has no obligation to know about it,” they concluded.
