As part of a new offer from the fast food chain, consumers will soon be able to score a free order of McDonald’s fries to munch on once a week.
With the “Free Fries Friday” offer starting this Friday, the fries will be available free to customers who already spend $1 on items through the McDonald’s mobile app and take certain steps, the company said. The size of the fries you get is medium.

The offer applies to those who choose contactless mobile ordering and payment via the app, while also “opting in to Rewards,” McDonald’s said.

On its website, McDonald’s is offering the Friday-specific promotion through the end of the year, although it is only available at participating locations.

According to McDonald’s, to claim the one-time “Free Fries Friday” offer every Friday, you must select it under the “Offers” tab and click “Add Offer to Mobile Order.”
In late July, the company reported $8 billion in systemwide digital sales across its six major markets as part of its second-quarter earnings.

In the quarter, McDonald’s generated total revenue of $6.5 billion, up 13.6% from $5.72 billion in the same period last year. Net income was $2.31 billion.
The fast food chain has announced that its third quarter financial results will be released next week.
