Now it's official: Conor McGregor will return to the octagon against American Michael Chandler on June 29 in Las Vegas.
On Saturday, the Irishman announced that he would reveal the date of his return and the identity of his opponent on New Year's Day. However, this was made official in a video released on December 31st.
McGregor and Chandler will fight at 185 pounds.
Ironically, Dustin Poirier was the last fighter the two pugilists faced.
McGregor has been on the sidelines since suffering a horrific leg fracture against Poirier on January 23, 2021.
Chander lost via third-round submission to Poirier in the finale of UFC 281 on November 12, 2022.
