Mechanic rescues puppies from trash and neighbors help with food and clothing Só Notícia Boa

A happy ending for a puppy found in a backpack and in the trash! The case happened in Minnesota, USA, and the animal was rescued by a mechanic after hearing screams coming from the dump. How happy!

RJ Cornforth was taking a break from work when he heard noises coming from the garbage. He said the entire community has provided support and has already received donations to help care for the animal.

“My heart sank. This dog didn’t need any of that,” said the man.

The rescue

Noticing the noise in the Dumpster, RJ quickly made his way to find out what it was.

Lifting the lid of the trash can, the mechanic found a closed backpack, but it was moving slowly. Then he opened it and saw an innocent little face.

“How could you do that to that little puppy? It’s heartless,” he lamented.

puppy is recovering

The whole community has made it their mission to take care of the new little friend named Midas named after the mechanic shop. Midas, adopted by the mechanic himself, was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and a broken jaw but has made a good recovery.

Along with all the care, the pup has received a surge of love and support since it was rescued from the dump.

Cornforth residents and neighbors donated snacks, toys and best wishes to Midas.

It was so much help that the donations are now going to NGOs in the city that rescue strays. How amazing folks!

“With social media and the internet at your fingertips, there’s no shortage of ways to find someone willing to adopt your pet,” the department’s Facebook post reads. “Please be kind to our animal friends.”

We wish Midas luck!
