Used to finding the right balance between efficiency and performance, MediaTek is changing tactics with the Dimensity 9300. This time, the company is leaving aside low-power cores and focusing on performance.
With four ARM Cortex-X4 cores that can reach up to 3.25 GHz and four additional Cortex-A720s at 2.0 GHz, this SoC is built for speed. Manufactured using a technique of 4nm engravinghas significantly increased performance: +15% on the single core and +40% with all cores activated compared to the old model, the Dimensity 9200.

To make matters worse, the L3 cache memory has been increased by almost 30% to 18MB, helping to process data quickly and efficiently. Combine this with state-of-the-art RAM and ultra-fast flash storage, and you get a chip that runs applications and games without batting an eyelid.
The ARM Immortalis-G720 GPU
For gaming and graphics-intensive tasks, MediaTek has equipped its SoC with a very powerful GPU: the ARM Immortalis-G720 with no fewer than 12 cores. This computing monster offers 46% more performance in games with ray tracingAt the same time, it uses 40% less energy and manages memory better.

The included ISP Imagiq 990 is also at a high level and allows you to take photos in 18-bit RAW format Cameras with up to 320 megapixels and record videos in 4K with bokeh effect or even in 8K.
Top connectivity and dream screens
The Dimensity 9300 doesn’t miss out on the connection side. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, which promises ultra-fast and smooth data exchange. As for the display, this SoC is compatible with 4K screens that refresh at 120Hz and offers Ultra HDR quality for total immersion in movies or games.
Vivo X100
The first phones equipped with this chip, like the Vivo Net. Although MediaTek has not yet made any official comparisons, everything indicates that users can be happy with this new SoC.
The Dimensity 9300 therefore seems to mark an important point for MediaTek, clearly showing its ambitions. It remains to be seen how Qualcomm will respond, but one thing is certain: consumers will demand increasingly powerful and efficient smartphones.
