The Bachelor star, 35, was tasked with sticking his hand in a cage containing a snake for 30 seconds to win food for camp.
He approached the hissing animal and said before putting his hand in the nest, “He doesn’t look happy either.”
The animal grabbed Nick’s wrist and bit down, with the former footballer looking distressed to Nick as a snake wrapped its jaws around his hand.
He grimaced in pain when host Dr. Chris Brown quickly explained that the animal was a non-venomous python.

It was soon revealed that Nick was bleeding and a stream was dripping from his injured hand, and a snake handler was called in to detach the reptile from Nick’s arm.
Host Chris quickly called a paramedic to the scene and Nick’s injured hand was treated.
‘He’s fine. I thought his skin might be a little tougher than a honey badger. I think we’ll be fine,” the doctor joked.
Nick recovered quickly and competed in the next challenge, earning ten stars out of a possible 13.

It comes after news that Nick is collecting a hefty pay packet for his time on I’m A Celebrity.
He is believed to have been paid as much as $300,000 for his stint on the show, making his fee the highest reported to date.
“His deal is said to be worth between $250,000 and $300,000, making him one of the highest-paid roommates this year,” a source told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“It’s a little less than the $500,000 he got for The Bachelor, but it’s a shorter production with fewer requirements and rules,” they added.
“Unlike The Bachelor, where he had to put his life on hold for six months, it’ll all be over in a couple of weeks.”
