It runs on Windows 11S and puts great emphasis on security by only allowing applications to be installed from the Windows Store. Despite everything, if you want, you can leave S mode to migrate to classic Windows 11 for free, but then going back to S mode is no longer possible.
This laptop PC has good connectivity with USB-C, which is very valuable in this price range, its Wi-Fi 5 ac and Bluetooth 5.1 radios for long-distance connections and communication, its audio jack and its handy HDMI video output for one easy connection e.g. to a TV or a monitor or to USB 3.0 (compatible with USB 2.0), which guarantees up to ten times faster transfers than USB 2.0 when USB 3.0 peripherals are connected to it.
Fans of high-definition content such as videos will be delighted with a screen that offers precise Full HD resolution above the 1366×768 standard in combination with a 16:9 format. The Medion Akoya E14223 (MD62558) is a compact, inexpensive notebook for simple everyday use.
The benefits of this laptop PC are very modest indeed, as it relies on 4GB of RAM and an entry-level processor, the low-power Intel Celeron Quad Core N4120 Gemini Lake Refresh. The latter is quickly maxed out as the software is somewhat resource-hungry on the processor, causing slowdowns.
Nevertheless, this core is suitable for general Basque applications such as office automation and Internet surfing, but also for viewing photos and videos thanks to the Intel UHD 600 graphics solution housed in the processor.
On the storage side, there is an eMMC solution, a good compromise between hard drive and SSD. Because it offers a much better fluidity than the first without being as reactive as the second, but it turns out to be silent like an SSD and energy efficient.
Thanks to the SSD, for example, starts/stops and starts of applications are faster than with a hard disk.
The capacity offered here is 128 GB, which allows for the installation and storage of light files/software and/or in small numbers. Compare it to the 500GB that hard drives offer as standard.
However, if you need more space, you can resort to an external storage device such as a USB 3.0/USB-C device to benefit from fast transfers.
As for autonomy, you can count on a battery life of about 6 hours with little use, since this computer is easy to carry thanks to its compactness, finesse and lightness.
