The pet is also distinguished by the light color of fur, but contrary to popular belief, it is not an albino. According to the animal’s owner on the Pets in Town news portal, albinism in the breed is characterized by red eyes, which is not the case with Van.

Van’s coat color is considered cream, although it is not officially recognized by the American Kennel Club, the largest registry of pure dog breeds in the world. However, he can still be registered as a purebred dog.

Interesting facts about albino dogs

According to PetMD, albinism is a genetic condition that causes dogs’ skin, fur, and eyes to be completely or partially unpigmented, making them remarkably different.

One of the most striking features of albino dogs is the color of their eyes, which are often red or pink due to a lack of pigmentation.

These dogs require special care due to their lack of pigmentation, which makes them more susceptible to sun damage such as sunburn and skin cancer.

Protecting sensitive skin with sunscreen is essential. In addition, their light coat requires special care to avoid stains.

Due to their genetic condition, they may be more sensitive to visual and environmental stimuli.
