Beloved by horror fans, actress Mia Gypsy Mello da Silva Goth is the daughter of a Brazilian mother and a Canadian father. The artist is the granddaughter of Maria Gladys, a famous Globo actress who appeared in the soap operas Hilda Furacão and Vale Tudo and in the films Todas as Mulheres do Mundo and Os Fuzis. Mia is being sued and accused of assaulting extra James Hunter during the filming of the film MaXXXine in April 2022.
James was hired as an extra for the film, in one of the scenes he had to lie on the floor and Mia ran past him, the actress then kicked Hunter, who complained to production. In another shot, Hunter says that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head.
Mia was born in England and lived in Brazil as a baby. At the age of five she left the country and returned to England. At the age of 10, he went to Canada to live with his father. At the age of 12 she moved to London, where she studied and became an actress.
She played her first role in the 2013 film Nymphomaniac: Volume 2 by director Lars von Trier. She then made her television debut with an appearance in an episode of the Sky Atlantic crime series The Tunnel (20132018). She continued her career by appearing in Magpie, a 2015 short film. The Survivalist, a 2015 action film; Wallander (2008 2016); and Everest, a 2015 thriller.
In 2017, he moved into the horror genre by starring in the film The Cure, directed by Gore Verbinski. Subsequently, in 2018, Goth took part in the remake of Suspiria by Luca Guadagnino. But it wasn't until 2022 that the star's career took an even bigger boost with the films “X: The Mark of Death” and “Pearl” directed by Ti West. In 2023, he starred alongside Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård in Infinity Pool (2023) directed by Brandon Cronenberg.
In 2021, Mia appeared on the show A Noite É Nossa on TV Record, where she sent a message to her grandmother. “My grandmother is the biggest inspiration in my life. She is the strongest woman I know and an extraordinary actress. The time I spent with her in Rio was the best part of my childhood,” said the actress.
Currently 30 years old, Mia Goth was married to actor Shia LaBeouf, known for the Transformers trilogy, with whom she has a daughter. She holds citizenship of three countries: Great Britain, Brazil and Canada.
