Information that Leonardo Nogueira, director of the Globo soap operas and husband of Giovanna Antonelli, has been sued by an actress who claims to have had sexual relations with him for a year in exchange for a role in the soap opera Fuzuê, a conspiracy , who wants to replace Vai Na Fé in the 7 p.m. slot, starting in the second half. My colleague Fabiola Reipert from the painting Hora da Venenosa dropped the bombshell but spared the girl’s identity. But the column had access to the process and is now surfacing the girl’s identity.

Cassia Carolina Picchi Apolônio is an actress, she is 37 years old, comes from Paraná but has been living in Rio de Janeiro for years with the aim of consolidating her artistic career. She has acted in numerous Globo productions, but none of them had a prominent role. His performances have always been in roles of low projection or entirely irrelevant to the stories he was a part of.

His resume includes the Flor do Caribe, A Regra do Jogo, Malhação, Supermax and O Tempo Não Para properties, all owned by Globo. Incidentally, Carol met Leonardo in the first telenovela on this list with Grazi Massafera. But the secret “romance” with Giovanna Antonelli’s husband didn’t begin until 2021. And the reasons, according to the lawsuit, were clear: she would have sex with him just to get a role in an audience leader’s soap opera.

In doing so, Carol says she had sex with Globo’s soap opera director on December 21, 2021, the first night she would have to have sex with Antonelli’s husband to get the job.

As evidence, the actress enclosed several printouts of conversations with the director. Sometimes she sent naked photos and videos, whereupon Giovanna Antonelli’s husband responded with sentences like “I miss you and I have to talk to you” or with more spicy content like “Of all this, only your picture remained with the red lingerie on your head ‘ or ‘Damn it, that’s crazy. I’ve even lost focus for the meeting now,” she said after seeing the alleged lover naked.

Amid sexual provocations, there are talks of dating between the two, as well as Carol’s demands for positions on the cast of the soap opera Fuzuê. As of November 25, 2022, the actress tells the director that she was contacted by a woman identified as Frida, who sent her the text of a character titled Soraya Terremoto.

She praised the character’s profile and hired an audiovisual company to videotape her audition. The column also had access to this material and saw that Soraya Terromoto has a comedic streak and is desperate for stardom. However, one detail in the text caught attention: the character claims to be 24 years old. And Carol is 37. And that factor was one of the obstacles to her admission.

Sharing messages the actress revealed while doing so, Leonardo wrote to her on January 19 this year: “Hi Carol! How are you doing? Of all the actresses who have done it [o teste], we will stick with an actress that we have yet to disclose. Younger, about the same age as the character’s profile.” Disappointed, Carol replies, “And you can’t help me otherwise? Another character, Leo?”

Carol’s lawyers interpreted the director’s speech as mockery. But he went on with his reasoning: “There’s nothing to be done about it. We give a lot of opportunity to diversity, it’s a company commitment.” And she insists again: “So you’re not going to put me in anything? Not even in a supporting cast?”

“Carol, put him up against the wall and say that this wasn’t the agreement between them, that they had intercourse for more than a year, with the promise of paper. She was deceived to gain an advantage, which violates her objective honor,” says the alleged lover’s lawyer.

Mood change in conversations

Still midway through the exchange of messages, which were not fully appended, there is a lengthy speech from Leonardo which suggests that Carol was more perceptive to the verbal agreements made more than a year ago, as he reacted defensively.

“If there was harassment it was on your part and you know it. We are uncovered, unfortunately my behavior was always impeccable. I would never promise anything on behalf of the company that I could not deliver. In no role. My history and demeanor say so. In terms of production, we still have a lot of castings until August or September. The author is still writing and we close the first names. We have to write many profiles, which is a normal process. We’ll also ask for new tests, always through casting production, there’s nothing we can do about that now. A lot will still happen in the production process until September and will continue until the end with a long dramaturgy. I’m making myself available from Monday,” says the director’s text, which is attached to the trial.

In defense of Carol Picchi, Leonardo Nogueira “used his power and the structural machismo already ingrained in our society to deceive a young actress’ dream and turn it into a nightmare of torment and humiliation”. And it goes beyond that. Among the adjectives used to qualify the Globo employee is the accusation that he is a recruiter.

“The messages kept by the defendant for a year denoting the constant maintenance of the plaintiff in a state of error, imagining him subjecting himself to humiliating situations such as those recounted here. These attitudes of the defendants are typical of a real recruiter” , says the process.

Carol demands a very high compensation: she wants R$ 2 million. She claims to have been sexually harassed (because she viewed what happened between her and Antonelli’s husband as a “couch test”) and is seeking compensation for moral damages.

The column has reached out to all parties involved in this story, but no one has responded to us at the time of this writing. Leonardo Nogueira took to his social media early Wednesday (22) to briefly comment and said he was the victim of blackmail by Carol Picchi.

“Friends, I have been the victim of a crime in which an attempt was made to blackmail me. All legal action has been taken since the incident, including the arrest of the person involved. The complaint was made by me to be clear the criminal case is in secret justice,” he wrote.
