Meg Ryan made a rare public appearance in New York City on Wednesday night supporting Michael J. Fox at a screening of his new documentary, STILL.
The 61-year-old ‘Sleepless In Seattle’ star posed for photos with Fox, many of whom were delighted by the couple’s enduring friendship.
However, some social media pundits were distracted by the actress’ looks and said she was “unrecognizable” – and may have had some cosmetic improvements.
“WTF did Meg Ryan put her face on?!” one stunned fan asked.
“Is that really Meg Ryan? If so, that’s such a shame and incredibly sad,” another cynic said sniffed.
“Leave the filler off!!!” a third chimed in, implying the beauty may have had non-surgical work.
Meanwhile, several cruel trolls claimed the When Harry Met Sally star resembled Madonna, 64, who has also made headlines for her famous face.
“You and Madonna obviously have the same plastic surgeon,” one said explained.
“Meg Ryan and Madonna should team up for a horror movie,” another nasty Twitter troll specified.

However, several supporters hit back and defended the star’s look.
“Meg Ryan looks just as different as you would expect from a 61-year-old,” said one explained.
The reclusive Ryan rarely appears in public. Wednesday’s outing marked her first media event in more than six months.

The Hollywood sweetheart hasn’t spoken publicly about whether or not she’s had any cosmetic work done, despite more than a decade of speculation surrounding her looks.
Back in 2016, the Huffington Post ran an article titled “Meg Ryan’s face is none of our business” after the actress started trending on Twitter following her performance at that year’s Tony Awards.
Ryan hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2015’s Ithaca, but the star delighted fans last year by announcing she was returning to the romcom roots.

Ryan, long known as the queen of the genre, has announced she’s starring and directing the romantic comedy What Happens After.
David Duchovny has also been tied to Star, although production details have not yet been released.
Based on the Steven Dietz play “Shooting Star,” the film follows ex-lovers Willa (Ryan) and Bill (Duchovny) who are violently reunited when they get snowed in at an airport overnight.
Willa is independent, while Bill was recently separated and is evaluating his life and relationships with his estranged wife and daughter, according to .
