On Thursday September 8th came the dreaded news of the death of Elizabeth II. After hours in doubt about the Queen’s health, the Queen died at the age of 96 surrounded by family at her residence in Balmoral, Scotland. Coincidence has made things pretty good since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have settled in America since leaving the royal family, were in Europe at the same time to attend charity events. Joining the Windsor clan ahead of the Queen’s funeral, which is expected on Monday September 19, Harry and Meghan Markle have left their children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, in the hands of their grandmother, Doria Ragland, but the Time is getting long.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have obviously turned their presence in Europe, initially scheduled for a week, and extended their stay in England at least until the Queen’s funeral. But it’s hard to imagine spending so much time without her two children. Because of this, the couple are considering a possibility of bringing Archie and Lilibet over to them ahead of their return to the US next week.
If their decision has not yet been made, family reunification is at the heart of the discussions. It must be said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not seen Archie and Lilibet since the start of their European trip. It is therefore almost impossible for them to spend another week without their small children. Because of this, Doria Ragland could soon be traveling with them to the UK to join her daughter and son-in-law in full mourning.
It wouldn’t be the first time Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have visited the royal family accompanied by their children. Last June, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex used Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum anniversary to present Lilibet to members of the clan and celebrate her very first birthday. A meeting that will have allowed the sovereign to get to know her great-granddaughter before saying goodbye.
