“It is one of America’s only alternatives to a traditional four-year college, offering a one-year, full-time scholarship in software engineering.” Students pay no fees – funding comes from philanthropic support.

“Fun fact: Meghan’s varsity letterman jacket was gifted to her by the debate team at Robert Clack School in Essex, England, during her visit in March 2020.”

Scobie added that Harry and Meghan took part in a “mindful meditation session” where students talked openly about how they were feeling. He said the Duke of Sussex advised the class: “If one of you starts being silent and doesn’t show up, you need to find out why.”

As she entered the school, which benefited from an Archewell Foundation grant earlier this year, Meghan reportedly told students: “We’re excited to be back in New York City.”

During their visit, Harry encouraged the students to look out for each other.

“Everyone has their own story, a reason for being here, your life will still be full of complications and challenges. “And if one of you starts to stay silent and doesn’t show up, you have to figure out why,” he said, according to People “.

He also asked the group, “What excites you most and scares you the most about the online world?”

His wife then chimed in and said, “I think my husband asked about online spaces because it’s a place where there’s so much community to be built, but where there’s also so much vulnerability.”

“There is a lot of saturation, and as parents we can be hopeful knowing you have bright minds.” [are at work], knowing that they are seen, valued and growing in the right direction. And that’s why what you do in the Marcy Lab is so important.”

After leaving the Marcy Lab School, the two headed to Hudson Yards to begin preparations for their summit.

They arrived at the venue around 11:30 a.m., two hours before they were scheduled to take the stage for the event.

During the event, the couple said they would strive to “give a voice to families who are passionate about building a safer online world for children and teens,” according to a statement shared with People.

They should discuss initiatives that “create positive change” and talk to parents who have “suffered a tragic loss related to their child’s use of social media.”

According to the Archewell Foundation website, Marcy Lab Fellows are ages 18 to 24 and participate in a year-long fellowship that places them in careers in software engineering, preparing them for jobs in technology.

The program also integrates mental wellness and civic engagement into its curriculum.

The school was founded in 2019 and since then, 128 of its graduates have gone into software development and have jobs “at companies around the world.”

As Meghan reached the summit, she wore a white strapless blazer with matching white trousers and high heels, while her husband donned a sharp navy suit.

The couple were beaming as they arrived at the venue, but they appeared to become emotional as the event began. Both looked incredibly bleak as the panel discussion began – with parents who have “suffered a tragic loss related to their child’s use of social media.” ‘ go on stage to tell their stories.

Harry and Meghan’s appearance at the festival comes just hours after Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Princess Kate hosted their own Mental Health Day event in the West Midlands.

The Sussexes reached the summit in a convoy of seven blacked-out vehicles – five months after the pair were involved in a “near-disastrous car chase” in Manhattan.

It’s her first in-person event for her charity, the Archewell Foundation.

Tuesday’s event, where the pair were joined by Today host Carson Daly and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy will mark the couple’s first appearance together in New York since the infamous “chase” they were involved in in May while attending the Women of Vision Awards.

On this occasion, the couple appeared to have taken fairly strict measures to ensure their safety – with a designated NYPD escort accompanying their fleet of SUVs to the Hudson Yards venue.

Questions still remain about Harry and Meghan’s account of the chase, which was described as “near catastrophic” in a statement from the couple’s spokesman.

The spokesman said the couple, as well as Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, were victims of “more than two hours of relentless pursuit” by “extremely aggressive paparazzi.”

It was believed they were trying to avoid being followed to their location on the city’s Upper East Side.

However, New York police later told NBC that they did not consider the chase to be “close to catastrophic,” instead describing it as a “somewhat chaotic scene.”
