Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted having fun in the audience on the first night of Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in California.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among the thousands who gathered at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday evening as the artist kicked off her world tour.
The couple were spotted in a private box with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, with all members of the group wearing silver, honoring the singer’s request that her fans wear the color at her show, Page Six reports.
Meghan clapped and waved her arms as Doria, who celebrates her 67th birthday today, danced to the music. They weren’t the only famous faces who came to Queen Bey’s performance, including Terry Crews, Taraji P. Henson and Shanina Shaik.
It’s not the first time the royal couple’s paths have crossed with Beyoncé: Queen Bey accepted a Brit Award in 2019 in front of a portrait showing Meghan as a royal version of the Mona Lisa.

In a post explaining why they decided to put Meghan in the spotlight, the power couple wrote: “In honor of Black History Month, we salute one of our melancholy Monas.” Congratulations on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy.’
Beyoncé publicly praised Meghan’s bravery following the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah, in which the duchess claimed she was subjected to racist treatment within the royal family.
Beyoncé posted on her website: “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership.” “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”
In an episode of her Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex claimed to have received a supportive text message from Queen Bey.
She told the camera crew: “Beyoncé just texted, I just checked… I still can’t believe she knows who I am…” She said she wanted me to feel safe and protected.
“She admires and respects my courage and vulnerability and believes that I was chosen to break the generational curses that need to be healed.”
The couple previously had a harrowing encounter with the pop megastar and her husband Jay-Z during the 2019 premiere of The Lion King.
The famous couples met on the red carpet and engaged in small talk, with Beyoncé reportedly calling Meghan “my princess.”
However, things took an awkward turn when the Sussexes spoke to the film’s director, Jon Favreau, and apparently asked him if there were any dubbing roles available for Meghan.
A video of the encounter showed Beyoncé covering her face before looking away uncomfortably, with social media users guessing she winced at the exchange.
One user tweeted, “Look at Beyoncé!” She KNOWS what’s happening and she and Mr. Carter have to pretend to be nice until the Harkles come on the line.
She added: “But basically Harry is asking Bob to do a job for Meghan.” Meghan is pretending it’s not happening. Even though I planned this.’
Another added: “This is painful to watch.” “Everyone seems so uncomfortable, especially while Meghan is talking to Beyoncé.”
A similar exchange would take place later that evening when Prince Harry presented his wife’s acting skills to Disney boss Bob Iger.
During the conversation, Harry asks, “Do you know she’s a voice actor?”
Iger is heard replying, “Ah, I didn’t know that.” Harry then replies, “You seem surprised. She’s really interested.” The Disney boss then says, “We’d like to try it.” That’s a great idea.’

Last month, Meghan enjoyed a girls’ night out at the same arena as she watched a Taylor Swift concert with friends.
The 42-year-old was joined by her British best friend Lucy Fraser as they watched Swift’s Eras Tour, while Harry was in Japan with his best friend Nacho Figueras to promote his charity work.
That same week, Ms. Ragland was also spotted socializing with the Kardashians at a glitzy event for the charity This Is Humanity, which aims to raise awareness of separated and reunited families and children at the border.
Earlier this week, the couple celebrated the release of their latest Netflix project, a documentary about athletes competing in the Invictus Games, the event Harry created in 2014.
In the five-part series “Heart of Invictus,” Harry discussed his mental health struggles and followed the journeys of several wounded veterans as they prepared for last year’s Games in The Hague, Netherlands.
Harry surprised a group of theatergoers on Monday night by showing up to a premiere showing the first two episodes and posing for photos with the audience.
Her visit to Beyoncé comes a few days before her expected departure to Düsseldorf, Germany, for this year’s Invictus Games.
The sporting competition for wounded veterans will be held in the German city from September 9 to 16, with the first day taking place a day after the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Harry, the queen’s grandson, is expected to attend the entire Games, while Meghan will arrive “later” and stay for the closing ceremony before returning to the United States, according to Omid Scobie, a close friend and confidante of the Sussexes.
It has been reported that the Duke of Sussex will be in the UK for the anniversary of Her Majesty’s death, but he is not expected to join the rest of his family – his father, King Charles, will mark the occasion at Balmoral Castle, where the Queen present is deceased.
Harry will celebrate the achievements and resilience of seriously ill young people and their families, supported by the WellChild charity, at the event in London on September 7, before heading to Germany.
