ALL FOR GOOD, IN THE BEGINNING – And they got it right, at least initially: they arrived on a scheduled flight (after the many criticisms of private jet abuse). They have settled into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, as expected. They reached London’s railway station (Euston Station) in a hybrid Range Rover and then took the train to Manchester, protected by “only” two bodyguards.

INTERNAL APPLAUSE… – In Manchester, the defunct couple are opening summut One Young World, a charity event that brings together young leaders from around the world (who incidentally had to fork out a thousand pounds to attend). At Bridgewater Hall, which normally hosts concerts, the Dukes of Sussex were greeted with cheers and boos. But outside…

… FROM WHISTLE AND BUUU – Out there, Meghan and Harry were greeted by a fairly large (at least 100 people, according to the Chron) and belligerent group of (ex)subjects: whistles, loud boos and screams. “You are false reals,” one of the most pronounced slogans, while the usual me-gain echoed in the gray Manchester skies, a distortion of Meghan glorifying Markle’s selfishness and greed.

EGO-CENTRIC – And in her speech (the first given in England since Brexit) that kicked off the summit, Meghan, dressed all in red, used the word “me” 54 times (in seven minutes). With the summit submitted, the agenda is getting tight: the dukes are on their way to Dusseldorf, Germany, where the 2023 Invictus Games will be held. And the anticipation of a (possible) visit to Queen Elizabeth is great.
