“I feel very connected to that word, that term ‘crazy’. The way it’s presented so casually and the damage it’s doing to society and to women everywhere. About relationships with broken families, shattered reputations and ruined careers. The stigma surrounding the word also has this silent effect,” said an emotional Markle. “Women who have real mental health problems get scared. Deepika spoke about her mental health issues that started in 2014.

“I woke up one morning and everything was fine. My films were a success. Personal beautiful relationships, family that has supported me. Like it came out of nowhere. I woke up and my life just felt meaningless,” Deepika said. “I didn’t want to live anymore. You just feel hopeless. You feel there is no point in living.”

Deepika shared her story live on Indian TV and was praised for her honesty and courage.

“I mean, there are two parts,” he said. “One is: I think that’s where people are struggling the most, especially in India, where mental illness is so stigmatized. One is to raise awareness. Most of us don’t even know that we are fighting mental illness. And second, if we are, to remove the stigma so people know it’s okay to seek help. Our mind is very much a part of our body, but somehow when it comes to mental illness, we start treating our mind as if it were outside of our body.”

Meghan replied: “You’re right. You know, my husband works a lot with the military community. When you suffer from post-traumatic stress, that’s what you can’t see. And if you can’t see it, just ignore it or sweep it under the rug.”

The Duchess returned to Spotify after Queen Elizabeth’s death. Three episodes of Archetypes were released before the monarch’s death, featuring guests Serena Williams, Mariah Carey and Mindy Kaling to debunk prejudice against women.
