Twittergate is nothing short of a scandal and it absolutely stinks.
On Friday night, journalist Matt Taibbi live-tweeted proof of what many people have long suspected.
Joe Biden’s political team pressured Twitter to ban its critics and remove negative stories about the Biden family in the run-up to Election Day.
Now, it was one thing for the then-presidential candidate to mislead the American people in daylight, as Biden did on the debate stage in 2020 when he suggested his son Hunter’s infamous laptop was a “Russian plant.”
But it’s another matter for his campaign team to do so in secret.
And that apparently happened. And we have the evidence – in black and white.
Taibbi, presumably fed with documents from Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk, showed us how it all happened.
“More to check from the Biden team,” said a redacted email, which listed five Twitter accounts.
“Edited” was the reply, meaning the accounts were banned.
It’s still unclear what these accounts tweeted. But a contribution by outspoken conservative and actor James Wood was also targeted. He reportedly tweeted photos of Hunter Biden using drugs and having sex with unknown partners.

Taibbi also revealed new insights into how Twitter decided in October 2020 to censor the New York Post bombshell report on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The Post report focused on evidence that Hunter, then a highly paid consultant for a Ukrainian energy company, introduced his then-vice president father to a senior Ukrainian executive.
The smoking gun email read: “Dear Hunter, Thank you for inviting me to DC and giving me the opportunity to meet and spend time with your father [sic] some time together. It’s reality [sic] an honor and a pleasure.’
As we all know, this report suspended the New York Post on Twitter and suppressed it on Facebook.
Twitter said they dropped the story because they allegedly suspected it was based on “hacked” material, but as Taibbi revealed, even they didn’t believe it.
“They just did it freelance,” a former employee told Taibbi. “Hacking was the excuse, but within hours pretty much everyone realized it wasn’t going to last. But nobody had the courage to undo it.’
Now pause here for a moment.
Imagine a world where the roles are reversed.
What would my life be like if there were enough pictures and videos to fill an entire “laptop from hell” of me engaged in a variety of lewd and illegal activities.
If there were videos of me having sex on camera, measuring and smoking crack cocaine with prostitutes and brandishing guns.
Imagine if there was evidence that I was taking money from foreign adversaries and linking them to influential members of the US government. And more than that – that my family may have been involved and benefited from it!
I think people in the mainstream media would care. I think the folks at Twitter and Big Tech would be a little interested to say the least.
But the ugly truth is that there is no scenario where I would be covered for the way Hunter and Joe Biden were covered for because I am a conservative and the media loves to smear conservatives and protect Democrats .
In his reporting, Taibbi – not a big fan of the conservative movement, who has worked for some of the most liberal news outlets in America – makes it very clear why this happened.
Taibbi also revealed new insights (above) into how Twitter decided in October 2020 to censor the New York Post’s bombastic report on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
“Twitter was and is mostly populated with people of a political persuasion, there were more channels, more ways to complain, more open to the left (well, Democrats) than the right,” he wrote.
It’s obviously true and the Biden campaign obviously knew it — and they put their thumb on the scales to capitalize on that fact.
The Democrats knowingly and actively tried to stifle the opinions of ordinary Americans—big and small—because they knew they could and could get away with it.
President Biden has to answer for that.
Does he now regret how his campaign has affected political debate in the final days before an election?
Knowing what we know today that the laptop is genuine and Hunter Biden is in very real trouble with law enforcement, does President Biden think this is ethical?
Does he think the backroom influence of his campaign has strengthened our democracy?
I doubt it. But he will never answer these questions.
We all remember that on a stage of the 2020 presidential debate, Biden suggested that the scandalous Hunter laptop was a “Russia facility.”
To date, there is no evidence that Russia or spies or “disinformation” had anything to do with it.
The honest truth is that a desperate and drug addicted hunter took his laptop to a repair shop and left it there.
After some time, the laptop shop owner, shocked by what he found on the device, turned it over to authorities and Trump campaign staff.
But still the truth could not come out.
Silicon Valley is jumping to censor a story that could potentially do untold damage to a Democrat ahead of an election.
Imagine again.
What if a laptop containing information about Donald and Donald Jr. turned up instead of Joe and Hunter?
On Friday night, journalist Matt Taibbi live-tweeted (above) proof of what many people have long suspected.
Do you think Twitter would have erred on the safe side?
In fact, we don’t need to imagine this scenario at all, as we know that the mainstream media has happily published and reported on the fake Christopher Steele dossier.
That wasn’t just wrong, it was fake. But it helped the Democrats’ cause, so it was deemed worthy of being printed, tweeted, and posted, and disseminated around the world millions of times a minute.
This sad episode shows, once again, that Big Tech, which has a stranglehold on speech in America, is being ideologically co-opted by the Left and the Democrats.
There’s a line from Joseph Heller’s book Catch 22 that I often quote: “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.”
Even conservatives often feel censored and lied to. We feel that our opinions are being suppressed and that powerful forces in this country are against us.
What do you want these conservatives to think tonight?
The consequences of this remain to be seen, but you can only fool so many for so long. Americans are fed up.
The grossly unethical business practices that helped bring Joe Biden to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue cannot be ignored. Americans are fed up with the idea of outsourcing control of their speech to Silicon Valley.
Hunter Biden, on the other hand, is living his best life in Malibu, selling his art for over $500,000 and moving to celebrity status in the White House.
I am not mistaken. It will have very little impact on the people behind the behavior.
But maybe with the help of Elon Musk, at least one big tech platform will reinvent itself.
