“Soccer moms” used to be a courted group of swing voters.
Do you remember? Of course, they weren’t dismissed as borderline racists or rabid partisans at the time.
Why should they be? You didn’t dabble in politics. Their voting habits were easy to understand. They wanted the best for their families.
In other words, they weren’t pilloried or patronized as “Karens.”
But then women voters suddenly went from being a respected voting bloc to a group to be despised.
What is a ‘Karen’ anyway? It’s generally a derogatory term for a certain type of white woman.
The angry woman calling the manager at the store about a minor inconvenience. The desperate woman filmed a public meltdown. And often their freaks are directed at people of color.
Nobody condones such behavior.

A New York Times Magazine article last year made it very clear. If you are a white woman, you are probably a “Karen”.
“Broaden the lens and any white woman — any white woman — could be a Karen if she takes the benefits of her race for granted and ignores the work and suffering of others,” it said.

If you care about the economy, rising crime and your children’s education today as opposed to the January 6 riots, climate change and transgenderism, you will be slandered.

And that’s not just insulting. It’s wildly removed from anything resembling the real world.
I have close friends who have seen a tremendous negative change in their lifestyle since President Biden took office.
Despite the fact that she and her husbands work, the cruel reality of how much less you can buy at the supermarket and gas station in 2022 compared to 2020 has hit her very hard.

These are the real struggles of ordinary American women. They don’t have the luxury of making the priorities out of the one percent, their priorities.
They literally can’t afford to focus on anything other than putting the food on the table, filling the car with gas, and getting their kids through school.
You will not be lectured or shamed. But they will vote silently.
In the last few days and weeks, as polls have shown a notable turn of white suburban women towards the Republican Party, we have heard women being labeled “cockroaches” and “Nazis” for putting their best judgment above the orders of Democrats and the liberal media .

Liberals shouldn’t be surprised that insulting a voter isn’t the best closing message.
Just this weekend, longtime Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen took to CNN to break the bad news.
The Democrats are going to have a very bad night.
“When voters tell you over and over that the economy is their main concern, listen to them! Stop talking about democracy being at stake!
“Democracy is at stake because people argue so much about what elections mean.
“The voters told us what they wanted to hear. I don’t think the Democrats have delivered that cycle,” she said.
Amen.
The problem for Democrats, as Hilary Rosen pointed out, is that this pie is it
baked.
A large percentage of “football mom/Karens” will pull the lever for the GOP.
Shaming women for all the ills in society and now for caring about their families is the most toxic and destructive political strategy in modern history.
