Melissa Gorga calls Teresa Giudice ‘selfish’ for dragging godson Gabriella into her ugly drama

Melissa Gorga explained it was “selfish” for Teresa Giudice to bring her godchild Gabriella into her family drama on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.

The 43-year-old reality star appeared on the talk show Bravo, which aired immediately after the final episode of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey.

The Season 13 episode featured Teresa, 50, and allowed Gabriella, then 17, to join in a conversation about Melissa with her older sister Gia, 21, and Teresa’s then-fiancé Luis “Louie” Ruelas, 47.

Noting that as the eldest daughter, Gia usually has a voice in discussions, WWHL presenter Andy Cohen, 54, asked Melissa for her response to the normally quiet Gabriella, who openly criticized her and her husband Joe Gorga, 43, on camera.

“I mean, I think it’s super selfish for a mother to bring a child into a conversation like that. I’m sorry like it’s a selfish thing for them to comment. She’s my godchild,” Melissa said.

Gabriella, who turned 18 last October, joined the conversation after Teresa said she knew she didn’t “get into all the drama and stuff.”

She asked why her godmother, Melissa, made comments on her podcast about how much support she and Joe Gorga gave while her mother and father, Joe Guidice, served their separate prison sentences.

Gia said to “look like a good aunt,” while Louie replied to get “attention.”

Calmly and typically drama-free, Gabriella admitted she was hurt by it.

“It’s hurtful that someone would say that just because that was about five years of my life. It was a sensitive time. Especially when it’s not true,’ Gabriella said.

‘You remember. And recognition should not be given where it is not deserved. That concerns me directly. Direct, so I’ll take that to heart,’ Gabriella said.

‘Oh dear God. look at her neck She breaks out like hives,” Teresa said of Gabriella’s family drama taking a physical toll.

Melissa was also asked during her appearance on WWHL if Gia’s claim that she and Joe only appeared for her when the cameras were around was true.

“It hurts just to hear it,” Melissa said.

Andy asked Joe, who was sitting in the studio audience, for his reaction.

“Exactly what she said,” Joe replied.

Melissa also slammed Louie for addressing her podcast comments, in which she said Teresa’s kids wouldn’t have eaten without her and Joe.

‘Twisted. I didn’t say that,” Melissa said.

Andy also asked Melissa why Louie would call her “insecure.”

‘Strange. It comes from Mr. Insecurity himself. He freaks out when you say something about him. He likes to run in circles and sweat,” Melissa said.

Appearing on WWHL last week with her new husband Louie, Teresa said her “heart hurts” over her strained relationship with her brother.
