An annual World War IIthemed event takes place in the town of Sheringham, England. Last Sunday (17) around 25,000 people took part. Among them were about ten men who appeared in Nazi uniforms.
According to reports in the English press, the uniforms bore the SS symbol on the collar, swastikas and the motif of a skull, which National Socialism incorporated into its symbolism.
Some other participants didn’t like seeing the group of men dressed as Nazis (during World War II, England and Germany were enemies and English cities were heavily bombed).
At some point, police officers asked the group of men dressed as Nazis to leave the area.
The Living History Group of the Eastern Front
The men belong to a group called the Eastern Front Living History Group, which reenacts events from World War II.
They say they’re raising money for English veterans. According to The Telegraph, they claim they have been participating in World War IIthemed parades for years and have never had any problems. A spokesman for the men also said they stage battles, educational events and visits, according to the newspaper.
