Gisele Bundchen made a stunning solo return to the Met Gala in NYC on Monday – as she wowed in an angelic white gown months after her divorce from Tom Brady.
The 42-year-old supermodel, who attended fashion’s biggest night for the first time in 17 years, dazzled in a vintage white Chanel dress from a shoot she did with event muse Karl Lagerfeld.
The glitzy white dress featured white stripes over a sheer base that showed off the star’s toned legs and enviable frame.
Nodding to her Victoria’s Secret Angel days, the dress was paired with a statement white feathered cape and skyscraper heels.
Her tresses were styled in soft waves and she wore a radiant palette of makeup for her first red carpet since splitting from Brady, 45 – and her first Met visit since 2019.
She is back! Gisele Bundchen made a stunning solo return to the Met Gala in NYC on Monday – as she wowed in an angelic white gown – months after her divorce from Tom Brady at 17 years, dazzled in a white vintage Chanel gown from a shoot that she did with event muse Karl Lagerfeld
The supermodel and NFL superstar confirmed their split on Oct. 28 after weeks of speculation – with Gisele now at the center of a flurry of rumors about the status of her relationship with handsome jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.
Brady first retired in January 2022 while he was with the New England Patriots, but stayed away just 40 days before announcing he would be returning to the Buccaneers for the 2022 season.
Gisele filed for divorce because she felt her partner “wasn’t being as observant as he should have been.”
‘That’s what [Gisele] wanted: to be heard. And he didn’t hear her,” the insider noted to the website.
As Bundchen, a native of Brazil, was raising his two children, the athlete was “busily engaged in following his passion.” Brady also shares 15-year-old son Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Someone familiar with the quarterback said, “When he’s in the middle of a season, [Brady] does what most NFL players do: live, breathe, eat and sleep football.
The 2023 Met Gala returns to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City Monday night, with everyone from Kim Kardashian to Paris Hilton set to attend the annual fundraiser.
Since 1948, stars have been climbing the majestic staircase to a very exclusive party where no selfies are allowed.
The event traditionally takes place on the first Monday in May. It is scheduled to begin May 1, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. EST.
Fans can follow the event in real time via a live stream on Vogue.
This year the theme of the ball is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”. The late German designer was the creative director of Chanel for many years. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 85.

His beloved cat, Choupette, was even invited to the celebrations.
The decision to honor Karl has sparked controversy, from criticizing the #MeToo movement to opposing same-sex marriage, given the many offensive remarks he’s made over the years.
“I’m against it for a very simple reason: in the 1960s everyone said we were entitled to the difference. And now all of a sudden they want a middle-class life,” he told Vice of same-sex marriage.
“Hard to imagine – one of the dads at work and the other at home with the baby. How about that for the baby? I don’t know. I see more lesbians married with babies than boys married with babies. And I also believe in the relationship between mother and child more than that between father and child.”
While he finally showed his support for same-sex marriage at his Chanel haute couture show in spring 2013, he still said he was “less keen” on same-sex couples adopting children, according to the AP.
Along with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who directs and hosts the annual event, the MET Gala 2023 will also be co-hosted by Penelope Cruz, Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel and also Roger Federer.
While the show may be known for its glitzy and over-the-top red carpet — with details of what’s happening inside they often remain mysterious — at its core, it’s a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
Last year, the 2022 MET Gala alone grossed $17.4 million, Billboard reported.
This year, according to Page Six, the ticket price went up from $30,000 to $50,000.
Even if you have the funds, that doesn’t guarantee you entry into the party.
Every guest must be invited, and there is a waiting list for the coveted golden ticket.
Family: The couple share custody of their two children, Vivian and Benjamin. Tom also has a third son, John, 15, from his relationship with Bridget Moynahan. They will be shown in February 2022 after he announced he was retiring – but he changed his mind a month later
And status matters, according to The New York Times, which means the hottest stars are quick to turn up for an invite.
Paris Hilton is among the big names attending her first Met Gala.
Meanwhile, Blake Lively, a frequent attendee, announced she won’t be at the party.
“I’ll watch,” she said, according to People.
Elle Fanning, Kim Kardashian and La La Anthony are among the other celebrities in attendance.
As for Wintour’s role at the bash, Vogue’s editor-in-chief is organizing the party and overseeing the guest list and even the menu.
She has chaired the Met Gala since 1994 and continues to oversee each event.
