Metallica Releases New Song “Screaming Suicide” Igor Miranda

Metallica have released another song from their forthcoming album 72 Seasons. “Screaming Suicide” was chosen as the second single. The music video was filmed in Los Angeles last November and directed by Tim Saccenti. It can be seen below.

The band says in an official statement:

“’Screaming Suicide’ confronts the taboo of suicide. The intention is to communicate about the darkness we feel inside. It’s ridiculous to think that we should deny that we have these thoughts. At some point I think most people thought about it. To face it is to say the unspoken. If it’s a human experience, we should be able to talk about it. You are not alone.”

** In Brazil, the Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV), a nonprofit association, offers free emotional support and suicide prevention 24 hours a day. Anyone who wants and needs to speak can contact the CVV confidentially at number 188, in addition to email, chat and Skype, available on the website www.cvv.org.br.

Metallica’s eleventh new album (twelfth if you factor in the partnership with Lou Reed on Lulu), 72 Seasons, will be released on April 14, 2023 through the band’s Blackened Recordings label. The track list has 12 tracks.

The production is signed by Greg Fidelman along with vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. There are 12 tracks in total with a total length of more than 77 minutes. It’s the first studio footage since 2016’s Hardwired… To SelfDestruct.
