Since Saturday, you can use the Métro at any time, except during peak hours, i.e. weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During the summer holidays from May 20th to August 20th, they can board the wagons at any time, unless there is no major event on that day that will block public transport. .

Bikes are now accepted in all carriages, not just the first, with a maximum of two per carriage.

Dogs must still be leashed and muzzled.

These changes are part of a pilot project to give cyclists more flexibility. An earlier pilot, this time involving dogs, has also been extended.

“This pilot project is rooted in the desire to remove the barriers to using public transport, to promote sustainable and integrated mobility and to ensure harmonious coexistence between bicycles, wheelchair users and dogs on the metro,” said Éric Alan Caldwell, Chairman of the STM board.

“Nothing beats the bike to cover the first or last few kilometers that separate the nearest subway station from our initial or final destination! added Jean-François Rheault, President and CEO of Vélo Québec.
