Mi Lent tradition is respected this Thursday RCI.FM

As part of Mi-Lent this Thursday, 12 groups will celebrate this event in the capital of Basse-Terre. Snare drum, synth and butt groups will stroll through the city’s main thoroughfares from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Something to celebrate Mi-Carême

The start will be in front of the prefecture to end on the esplanade of the port where a big musical jam is planned. The opportunity to congratulate and thank all the groups from South Basse-Terre who have lifted the colors of our carnival very high for this 2023 edition.

A very popular Mi-Lent meeting as the crowd is expected in large numbers this afternoon and tonight in Basse-Terre in Red and Black. Everything has been done by the carnival organizers to ensure that this last partition, like this season’s events, is as safe and successful as any other, especially those on fat days.

In Baie-Mahault, the meeting is also scheduled for 4 p.m. for a Mi Carême video in the presence of a float with artists. The start is fixed at the Lycée Charles Coëffin.

Finally, Pointe-à-Pitre should not be outdone. Groups in Po have also planned to parade in the streets, such as the famous Mouvman Kiltirel Akiyo, who, as tradition dictates, will come out in khaki kas. Something to contribute to the preservation of this emblematic day of Carnival in Guadeloupe.
