Miami Dolphins All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill made a bizarre admission Thursday when he told reporters that instead of spending time watching movies like most players, he prefers to use Madden to challenge his opponents to scout.
“I feel like Madden has a good idea of how good players are.” “So I just play Madden the night before and look at all the ratings,” Hill said.
“Let’s just say, for example, that there’s Steve Nelson and Derek Stingley, two phenomenal players by the way.”
“I just go to the EA rosters, then scroll down and look at how well known they are, how fast and how strong they are, and that gives me a good grasp of them.”
Hill was likely referring to Nelson and Stingley as Miami will face Houston in their second preseason game on Saturday.

While Hill’s supposed scouting strategy is far from traditional, it seemingly worked wonders for him last season.
After six years of disrupting the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he caught 479 passes for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns, he had arguably the best season of his career last year in Miami.
Hill recorded career-high streaks of his career with 119 receptions and 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 29-year-old seven-time Pro Bowler has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in five of his seven seasons in the NFL.
Miami will certainly be hoping Hill can continue producing at a similar pace to form an offensive tandem with fellow fast WR Jaylen Waddle and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa that will give the team a strong run into the postseason.
