Michael Clarke revealed a rare glimpse of his lower back tattoo as he arrived at Noosa Main Beach in Queensland on Sunday.

Along with his bikini-clad girlfriend Jade Yarbrough, the image-conscious cricket star, 41, was spotted stripping down to a pair of blue board shorts that sat low on his hips.

Roman numerals peeped out from under the garment, representing the number 389, which Michael had inked to represent the number he received during his Test match debut.

Michael has been mocked for the tattoo in the past as the cricketer chose to tattoo the digits for each individual number (III VIII IX) instead of the correct digit for 389 (CCCLXXXI).

It was previously rumored that getting the correct digits tattooed was avoided as it would have been more painful.

Michael, who is known for his love of body hair removal, meanwhile flaunted his newly waxed, hairless body as Jade applied sunscreen to his back.

Michael struggled to shield his face from the glare of the sun and completed his look with a white beanie and sunglasses.

Michael has been collecting tattoos for over a decade, having inked his former girlfriend Lara Bingle’s initials on his bicep in 2007.

In 2010, shortly after separating from Lara, he had his parents’ first names engraved on his upper body in Hindi.

Michael also got the phrase “Carpe Diem” tattooed on his left forearm in 2016 and wrote the number 11 on his hand in 2019 to represent his outstanding 11-year cricket career.

Meanwhile, Michael was accompanied by his seven-year-old daughter Kelsey-Lee, whom he shares with ex-wife Kyly Clarke.

Along with their two-year-old daughter Harper, Jade’s sister Jasmine and her husband Karl Stefanovic were also spotted.
