In 2014, Micheline Lanctôt told us she had reconnected with a former lover she hadn’t seen in 37 years.

Nine years after that trust, the actress says she’s still in love with the same man whose identity she’s keeping secret. “My friend is a former geographer who has recycled into gardening and landscaping. We met in 1977 in the United States. When I came back to live in Quebec, we lost touch. In 2014, when I was a widow since 2010, I sent her a message. That’s how we got back together and we’ve been together ever since. Our story is a bit like that of my uncle who at 90 had married the blonde he had at 17 whom he found in his retirement home.

The actress and her boyfriend have been well established in Philipsburg in the Eastern Townships for a number of years. Already a grandmother – her daughter Simone has three children who will soon be 15, 10 and 8 years old – she will see her family grow. “I’m having a fourth grandchild in the summer.” Her son Francis and his mistress have opted to keep the baby’s gender a surprise. Professionally, Micheline Lanctôt is part of the Frontières cast. “I will also be filming the second season of À cœur beating for Radio-Canada and Le temps des raspberries for Club illico this spring. I work a lot and I am very happy about it!”
