It's not every day that an actress gets to film a kissing scene with Tom Cruise, let alone on their honeymoon.
Michelle Monaghan has revealed how she filmed a romantic scene with the actor for her film Mission: Impossible III, shortly after tying the knot with husband Peter White.
During a joint interview with her “The Family Plan” co-star Mark Wahlberg for “Collider,” Monaghan recalled having to skip her honeymoon to work on the JJ Abrahams-directed film and how her new husband told her “making out” with Cruise, 61, fully supported .
The couple tied the knot in 2005, but after the wedding they went straight to work for Monaghan.
“It was just such a big movie.” I had just gotten married and skipped my honeymoon to go straight to the movie. “Then I remember going to work and Tom and I had some kind of intimate scene, and of course that was the first scene,” the 47-year-old actress described.

Monaghan was newly married when she began work on Mission: Impossible III
“Then I came home from work, I was so nervous and my husband said, 'Don't worry, you'll follow his example.' You'll have a great time. It's going to be wonderful.” I came home at the end of the day, opened the hotel room and he said, “How was it?” I thought, “Oh my God, it was incredible. He was so nice. It was great.”
Peter even managed to crack a joke about it: “He's like, 'How cool is it that you made out with Tom Cruise on our honeymoon?' Because we're just such fans.'
Monaghan added that the story was “testament” to what kind of person her partner was.
“It's a testament to the man I married who has just been totally supportive and excited and excited about the possibilities,” she said.
Wahlberg then asked if Peter was jealous. “No, he was just so proud,” Michelle replied.
Michelle went on to explain that the role was the culmination of all her hard work: “I worked hard to get this role and it was just one of those things. “We just got married and discovered our careers together in New York, that was something very special.
“But of course I was very nervous the night before and then I just had a great shoot with JJ and Tom and I have every respect for them and this franchise.”
